Job context - A Hongkong based buying office has its liaison office in Bangladesh
Position: Senior #Fabric Technologist (Knit & Woven) for R&D department



Job Responsibilities
1.      Working closely with the customers & the team to source fabrics from Bangladesh that customers are looking to work with.
2.      Establishing & building up a library of the local factories and maintaining good network with fabric suppliers.
3.      Ensuring the local fabric standard can comply with the customers’ standards.
4.      Monitor the fabric production in the factory i.e. yarn in-house, knitting, dyeing and update concern merchant team, QA team and top management.
5.      Follow up Time & Action (TNA) with the factory to ensure timely fabric in-house.
6.      Establishing and maintaining good relationships with different testing labs for fabric testing.
7.      Troubleshooting any fabric technical related issues for bulk fabric - imported and local fabric - in a supportive role to the factories.
8.      Monitor and follow up with the fabric mill for testing fabric composition, GSM, physical/chemical test, hand-feel, appearance, shade, shrinkage etc.
9.      Provide guidelines on the fabric process and other technical issues to the QA team and factory fabric technical team. 
  



Education - Required: B.Sc in Fabric Manufacturing Technology from a recognized university.

Skill- Required: Sound knowledge of knit fabric development & manufacturing.

Expectance Required: Minimum 5 years.

Salary : Negotiable

Office location-  Uttara
