About the role

The primary role of the Junior Merchandiser is to prospect for new RMG factories and build a genuine, robust and deliverable pipeline in Bangladesh by using email, social media, networking, cold calling, or any other means of generating interest from prospective clients. This role will be monitor the whole process of order execution from order placement to shipment. He/she will be working with our Senior Merchandiser to support onboarding in dhakai.com platform.

An extremely passionate, energetic, result-oriented Junior Merchandiser, able to lead for getting things done in a fast-paced environment and to grow new and existing accounts.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Build and maintain a network of potential and current ready-made garment manufacturers in Dhakai.com application
2. Monitoring the whole production process of order placement to shipment
3. Support Senior Merchandiser and Country Manager with all accessories booking & in-house status of nominated and non-nominated supplier with correct lead time.
4. Support with sample submissions, approval process and ensure proper T&A plan date with buyers.
5. Coordinate with QC and QA team regarding the samples and bulk production.
6. All Communications to be done within the Dhakai.com platform.
7. Engage new partners to provide value around how users can be more successful with our offerings
8. Responsible for anticipating customer needs, identifying sales opportunities, and monitoring accounts
9. Generate sales leads through emails, phone calls, social media and networking
10. Aid in the negotiation of customer pricing and contracts
11. Work with our Senior Merchandiser to achieve company goals.
12. Support with factory compliance, auditing, shipping and logistic process.

 

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Apparel Manufacturing Management, Marketing, Business, or Textile engineering
2. 1-5 years of experience in RMG industry
3. Strong systems aptitude, including Excel; ability to learn new software and databases
4. High attention to detail with strong hands on analytical ability
5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines effectively
6. Detail-oriented, excellent discovery, communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
