Job Context


     A reputed Buying Office is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Merchandiser.

Job Responsibilities

  • Have to hunt new good customers/buyers.
  • Able to handle multiple styles at a time independently.
  • Aware about the Woven & Jacket merchandising.
  • Analyze sales figures, customer's reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs. Follow up with buyer for the feedback of the price, sample & capacity/space booking.
  • Make T&A (Time & Action) plan & cross check with IE & planning department to maintain TOD.
  • Give follow up for production with quality for on time shipment & fulfilling buyer requirements.
  • Maintain suppliers PI/LC in co-operation with commercial & accounts department as per booking/order.Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, distributors and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities and time-scales.
  • Forecast profits/sales and plan budgets.
  • Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes etc.
  • Collaborate with every department to ensure operation as per T&A Planning.
  • Have to be in regular contact with production and quality team as well as buyer to ensure shipment of quality goods.
  • Have to regular communicate with buyers to take approvals on time.
  • Have to conduct all the operation through ERP.
  • Any other task assigned by the management.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline
  • Graduation/ Post Graduation major in Woven Manufacturing Technology or Fashion Designing or Apparel Merchandising or Textile Engineering will get preference.

Experience Requirements

  • 5 to 10 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • Age at most 40 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):Woven, Jacket, Hunting Dress, Denim Pant Merchandising
  • Proven working experience in merchandising.
  • Up-to-date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Candidate should have experience to work with WALMART, C&A, ACEDEMY, & American Buyer.
  • Strong listening, presentation and decision-making skills.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to "decode" customers.

Job Location

Dhaka, Bangladesh -Location: Corporate Office.

    40-45 K
